How come there are only 12 CONCACAF teams in the Gold Cup?

Threre are 40 concacaf teams but only 12 get to participate in the Gold Cup. This is an injustice to the concacaf nations they they can not participate in their own confederation tournament.

1. Because if there were any more than that it would be devalue the competition surely? There's 53 nations in Europe and only 16 places in the European Championships.

It is like that Not all teams get to play in major tournaments To add to the user above, around 200 teams fight to qualify for World Cup, but only 32 get to play in the finals Its not injustice The weaker teams are simply easy meats for the strong countries In order to avoid this, the weaker teams are scrapped before the final The hosting requirements is also a concern If all 200 countries in the world get to play in World Cup finals, there are at least 199 matches to be played before the winners are determined Which country has enough stadiums to arrange 200 games, with a stadium allowed to host a max no of 8-10 games? That works out to 20 stadia and only very few countries like England, USA and China are capable I'd say FIFA is never going to accept this Hope it helps
