What do I wear to the races on Gold Cup day?

I have never been to a winter racing meet, only ever during the summer. Usually I get dressed up and enjoy putting on a summer dress, hat etc. I am not too sure though about when I go to this week's Gold Cup as the weather is cold. I have been invited to the whole "hospitality" thing and we will be in the restaurant with a balcony so I won't be venturing outside much - not that I think you can move when the place is packed!! Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

1. All the papers and magazines have been doing supplements for the festival, maybe you could get some ideas from there.
2. Top hat and tails
3. A smart suit (Trouser or Skirt) Shorter sleeved blouse, so that if you get too warm you can take off the jacket. Maybe a hat to match the blouse. Comfortable shoes.
4. wear a nice red dress with black belt gloves and hat as iam watching it on TV then i will be able to watch out for you goodluck.
